So here's the skinny…
I like to test and try products just to see what the real deal is. And I try not to sway my family and friends the wrong direction… And I'd like to say that I'm pretty on the money with my opinions and I would like to share some.
I have always talked about blow drying… And how it used to take me up to an hour to blow dry my thick long hair. Well I have discovered this new blow dryer, it's called Sedu 4500… And my thick long hair now dries in under 20 minutes! Typically, between 10 and 15 minutes. I just got my half an hour back! OK, the hairdryer is a little spendy… But getting back approximately four hours a week on blow drying… So worth it! And this blow dryer has the ionic reduction button, two speeds, three temperature settings… Small, lightweight and easy to travel with. Money well spent in my opinion! Two thumbs up…
And since I'm on hair… Everybody needs a good daily clarifying shampoo. I would like to recommend you to the French product line called KEUNE. I tried it out for the first time tonight and let me tell you something, you don't hear your hair go squeak unless all the buildup has been removed from your hair! And that's exactly what this clarifying shampoo does… Makes your hair go squeak! You don't realize how much crap is stuck up there… And you thought your daily shampoo was removing it all. It is not! Everyone must get this product and use it in their daily hair care regiment.
Continuing with hair, I am a big fan of CHI products! If you've never heard of it, look it up. And if you have but walked away, turn around and go back! I swear by it… so of course you're using the above mentioned clarifying shampoo… But you still need to use shampoo and conditioner. So please let me introduce you to the infra shampoo and infra treatment program. After a good clarifying rinse… You just need a small amount of shampoo and conditioner to just hype up your hair. Gives you lightweight body and volume without having to use all that other stuff to give you that volume you crave.
Now, before you dive into the blow dry phase… There are two other products that I use in my hair before I dry. One is the CHI Silk Infusion and the other is the CHI Keratin Mist. I highly recommend both products to keep your hair healthy, soft and minimally damaged from heat styling products. CHI also has a Thermal Guard if you'd like to use it with your hot tools… I use it every now and again. But it's not necessary…
Now, I'm not a big advocate of dry shampoo… Just the thought of it makes me a little ick. I mean, we do shower every day don't we? However, if you get in the situation where you are not able to take a shower and your hair needs some help… The CHI dry shampoo is phenomenal. Tried, tested and true. I loved it!
I also have discovered… That not all things Kardashian is terrible. The Kardashian's have come up with a hair care line… And their hairspray is amazing. I only use hairspray when I curl my hair… Or I'm going outside and the weather is unpredictable. And this hairspray holds through weather… through brushing… Through sleeping on and not having time in the morning to redo my hair! And it doesn't get white, hard or crusty like other hairsprays. Give it a try, and tell me what you think…
Another recently acquired product that I love and cannot live without is the new Marc Jacobs Kohl eyeliner. It's got a silver wrapper and a black lid… It is super for doing your eyes. It is soft, it is dark and it stays! You can blend it, smoke it out, or even fine line pattern if you need to. It has a self sharpening mechanism so that you don't have to worry about losing chunks of your pencil while sharpening. Must add to everyone's make up kit!
Most people who know me know that I am brand loyal to MAC cosmetics! I mean, I think my kit is worth well over $5000. However, I cheated! And I discovered that over the MAC prep and prime, I prefer the Urban Decay brightening and tightening complexion primer potion! I find that the MAC prep and prime can make whatever make up you put on top oily or feel heavy. The Urban Decay primer potion is the antithesis of that. It doesn't go on as greasy and it dries almost tac-like. I love it! And I must try for all your make up junkies out there.
Last but not least, I am a big fan of the L'Oreal infallible eyeshadows! If you didn't already know, the L'Oreal infallible line is actually the same line made for Armani exchange! Tadaaa… So essentially, when you purchase L'Oreal infallible… You are getting the same quality of make up as Armani exchange. The only thing that you need to know when you are putting on this eyeshadow is that you will need to buy a pretty stiff brush… The eyeshadow is kind of damp like. So I would suggest buying the MAC 214 eyeshadow brush.
So, that's it for now…
